State of Florida  } To wit
County of Alachua }
   Know all men by these presents, That we Peter M. Oliver M. OHarra &
C.H. Davies are held and firmly bound unto George F. Drew Governor of the State
of Florida, or his successors in office, in the full sum of Five Hundred dollars
for the payment of which well and truly to be made we do hereby bind
ourselves, our heirs, executors, and administrators, Jointly and severally, firmly
by these presents, Sealed with our seals, and dated this 12th day of
February 1878. The Condition of the above Obligation is Such, That whereas
the above bounded P.M. Oliver was, on this Fifth day of February AD 18
duly appointed Auctioneer of the County of Alachua in said State:
Now, If the said Peter M. Oliver shall well and truly perform all the duties
of said office as prescribed by law, then this obligation to be void, else to
remain in full force and virtue.

This Indenture, made and entered into on this the ninth day of February
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventy seven, Between 
The Florida Land and Immigration Company, a body corporate under the laws 
of Florida, party of the first part, and Mary J. Hotchkiss wife of George R.
Hotchkiss of the City of New Haven State of Conneticutt party of the Second 
part, Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part, for and in consideration 
of The sum of Fifty Dollars lawful money of the United States of America, to it in 
hand paid by the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing and 
delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, has given
granted, aliened, bargained, sold, transferred, conveyed and confirmed, and does 
by these presents give, grant, aliene, bargain, sell, transfer, remise release, 
convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to her executors 
administrators, heirs and assigns forever, all that certain tract or parcel of Land 
situate, lying and being in the County of Alachua and State of 
Florida and better known and described on the public maps and records 
of said State as the North East quarter of the South West quarter of 
Section Two in Township Eight South of Range Twenty one East containing 
Forty acres more or less (NE1/4 of SW1/4 Sec 2 T8 S R21 E 40 acres) 
To Have and to Hold the above granted, bargained and
