This Indenture, made this Seventeenth day of January in the
year Eighteen Hundred and Seventy Eight between Charles W. Brush
at present of the City of Sanfrancisco and State of California
Executor of the last will and testament of Nehemiah Brush
deceased, of the first part and Martha J. Bell of Alachua
County, and State of Florida of the Second part: Whereas
Nehemiah Brush, by his Last Will and Testament dated
the tenth day of March, in the year Eighteen hundred and
forty three, duly admitted to probate, and now of record in
the Office of the Clerk of Alachua County and State of Florida
authorized and empowered his executors therein named to
Sell and Convey Certain real estate also in said Will named
And Whereas, the party hereto of the first part, the Surviving Ex-
ecutor named in Said will, by virtue of Such authority
has Sold to the Said party hereto of the Second part a
portion of Said real estate which is hereinafter described
for the Sum of one hundred and Seventy five (175) Dollars, which
amount has been fully paid by the Said party of the Second
part, as is hereby admitted
Now, therefore, this Indenture witnesseth: that in Consideration of
the premises, and of one dollar, the Said party hereto of the first
part, Executor as aforesaid doth grant, bargain, Sell, alien, release
Convey and Confirm unto the Said party hereto of the Second
part, her heirs and assigns forever in Fee, all that lot or
parcel of ground Situate and lying in Alachua County, State
of Florida, being a portion of a tract of of Land known as "
The Arredondo Grant" and described as follows that is
to Say: The NW Quarter of the South West Quarter of frac-
tional Section Five (5) in township nine (9) in Range twenty
one (21) Containing forty acres, be the Same more or less
Begining at NW Corner of Sd fractional Sec 5, T9, R21, of Said
Arredondo Grant measuring 20 chains Ely along Said line thence
S20 chs thence West 20 chns to the Section line between Two Sec
5 & 6 thence N 20 chs to place of begining
It being a part of the Same ground which, by a decree pass
ed in the Case of Brush et al against Prall et al, in the
Circuit Court of St. Johns County and State of Florida, on
the Eleventh day of August, in the year Eighteen hundred
and forty nine, which decree has been duly recorded in
the Clerks office of Alachua County in said State, was
