before me Herbert C. Smith a Notary Public in and for the
County and State aforesaid dwelling in said County duly
commissioned and sworn and authorized by the laws of
the State of New York to take the proof and acknowledge
ment of Deed and other instruments to be used or re-
corded therein personally appeared John C. Smith and
Delia C. Smith his wife both to me known to be the
individuals described in and who executed the fore-
going instrument, and severally acknowledged that they exe-
cuted the same: And the said Delia C. on a private
examination by me made separate and apart from
her husband further acknowledged that she executed
said Instrument freely and without any fear or com-
pulsion of or from her said husband and I do further
that the said Instrument is duly executed acknowl-
edged and certified so as to entitle the same to be re-
corded according to the laws of the State of New York
             In Witness Whereof I have hereunto
(Seal)       set my hand and affixed my official
             seal at the City of Brooklyn the fifteenth
             day of November 1877 -

County of Kings    }  S.S.  I, John Delmar, Clerk of the
County of Kings and Clerk of the Supreme Court of
the State of New York in and for said County said
court being a court of record, Do Hereby Certify that Her-
bert C. Smith whose name is subscribed to the certifi-
cate of proof, or acknowledgment of the annexed in-
strument, and therein written, was at the time of taking
such proof or acknowledgment, a Notary Public, of the State of
New York, in and for the said County of Kings dwelling in
said County, Commissioned and sworn, and duly authorized
to take the same, And further that I am well acquainted
                   with the handwriting of such Notary, and
   (Seal)          verily believe the signature to the said certif-
                   icate is genuine, and that said instrument
                   is executed and acknowledged according
                   to the laws of the State of New York
In testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed the seal of the said County and Court this 16 day of
