Alachua County } Know all men by these presents that
I William Dixon Lewis of the County and State aforesaid
for and in Consideration of Two hundred & fifty
Dollars to me in hand paid by Walter S. Land of
the said State and County the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged have granted bargained Sold
and Conveyed and by these presents do So grant
bargain Sell and Convey unto the said Walter S. Land
and to his heirs and assigns forever all that
Certain piece parcel or tract of land lying and being
in the County of Alachua and State of Florida and
particularly known and described as follows to wit:
that portion of section 22, T10 S R20 E Commencing
at double gum tree at SE Corner of W.S. Lands 15 acre
lot running S 35° - W (648) Sixty forty Eight ft to a Stake;
thence West (104) one hundred and four feet to a Stake
thence North (858) eight hundred and fifty eight feet,
thence N 54° 30' W (578) five hundred Seventy Eight feet
to the pt of beginning containing (5) five acres more or less;
And Also that portion of section 22, T10 S, R20 E, com-
mencing at NW Cor of W.S. Lands 15 acre lot running N 54° 30'
W (600) ft Six hundred feet to a Stake thence S 9°W (505) five
hundred and five feet to a stake; thence S 18° 30' E (463)
four hundred and sixty three feet to Stake; thence N
35° 30' E along E Boundary of W.S. Lands 15 acre lot
to the point of beginning Containing (5) five acres more
or less; making an aggregate of (10) ten acres more or
less. To Have and to Hold unto him the said Walter S.
Land and to his heirs and assigns in fee Simple forever.
And the said Wm Dixon Lewis for himself and his
heirs executors and administrators doth hereby Covenant
and agree to and with the said Walter S. Land that the
Said Wm D. Lewis is Seized of a good and indefeasible
title in fee Simple to the aforegranted premises and hath
good right and lawful authority to sell and Convey the
Same and that he will and that his heirs executors
and administrators Shall forever warrant and defend
the Same to the Said Walter S. Land and his heirs and
assigns against the Claims and demands of all
persons whatsoever
In testimony whereof the Said William Dixon Lewis
being at the time unmarried has hereunto set his
hand and affixed his seal this the Eighteenth (18th)
day of February AD Eighteen hundred and Seventy Eight
