"Deed"
This Indenture made the 7th day of July anno
Domini Eighteen hundred and Seventy nine Be-
tween James M. Hawthorn and Sarah P. Hawthorn
his wife of the County of Alachua and State
of Florida parties of the first part and Henry
W. Reed of the County of Duval and State of Florida
party of the second part; Witnesseth: that the said
parties of the first part for and in consideration
of the fifty 00/100 Dollars to them in hand paid by the
said party of the second part the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged have given granted aliened bar-
gained sold transferred and do by these presents give
grant alien bargain sell transfer and convey unto the
said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns
forever all of a certain Lot Tract or Parcel of Land sit-
uate lying and being in the town of Hawthorn County of
Alachua and State of Fla and known and described
on the public records of said County and upon a plat
of the town of Hawthorn which plat is on file in
the Clerks Office of Alachua County said town being
located on the south West Quarter of the North
West Quarter and the North West Quarter of the
South West Quarter of Section (26) Township Ten (10)
south of Range Twenty two (22) East and Surveyed and
mapped and in May 1879, by H.W. Reed Surveyor
as Lot (2) two in Block twenty six (26) having 125
ft on Johnson St running to RR reserve.
Together with all and Singular the tenements hereditam-
ents and appurtenances thereunto belonging; and also all
the estate right title interest dower and right of dower
property claim and demand whatsoever as well in law
as in equity of the said parties of the first part of in
and to the same with the appurtenances.
To have and to hold the above described premises with the
appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said party
of the second part and his heirs and assigns as their
absolute property in fee simple forever and the
said J.M. and Sarah Hawthorn for themselves and their
heirs and assigns do covenant and agree that they are
lawfully seized of the above described premises by deed
from Elijah T. Hawthorn & wife bearing date June 30th 1879
and that they have conveyed the same free and discharged
from all encumbrances and liens of any and every nature
and description created by themselves and the said
party of the second part his heirs and assigns shall quiet-
ly and peaceably enjoy the above described premises
