"Deed"
This Indenture made this the 18th day of December
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy eight Between Wilburn Lassiter of
the County of Alachua and State of Florida party
of the first part and Ishmael Rutledge of the
County of Alachua Florida party of the second
part. Witnesseth; That the said party of the first
part for and in consideration of the sum of Two -
hundred dollars to him in hand paid by the
said party of the second part at and before the en-
sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained
sold released granted conveyed and confirmed
and by these presents doth bargain sell release
grant convey and confirm unto the said party of
the second part his heirs and assigns forever all
that certain lot or parcel of land lying and being in
Alachua County Florida and described as follows:
viz: Commencing at South West corner of Lot thirteen
(13) in Thomas Napier Grant said Grant being in
township ten (10) south Range twenty (20) and Nineteen
(19) E and run north 4 1/2° West Twelve & 83/100 chains
thence East 86 1/4° E Fifteen & 69/100 chains to a stake or line
dividing lots (13 & 14) thirteen & fourteen thence South 4 1/2°
East on said dividing line Twelve & 83/100 chains to South
East corner of said lot thirteen (13) thence West 86 1/4° West
fifteen & 69/100 chains to south west corner of said lot
thirteen (13) the place of beginning containing twenty
(20) acres more or less Together with all and singular the
tenements hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto
belonging or in any wise appertaining and all the estate
right title interest property possession claim and de-
mand whatsoever as well in Law as in Equity of the
said party of the first part in and to the above des-
cribed premises and every part and parcel thereof:
To have and to hold the above granted bargained
and described premises with the appurtenances unto
the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof
forever and the said party of the first part for his
heirs executors and administrators do hereby coven-
ant with the said party of the second part his
heirs and assigns that at the time of the delivery
hereof the said party of the first part is the
lawful owner of the premises above granted and
seized thereof in fee simple absolute that they
