J.M. Hawthorn to A.E. Bates
               "Deed"
This Indenture made this the 9th day of February in the
year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and Eighty
between J.M. Hawthorn of the County of Alachua and State
of Florida party of the first part and Annie Elizabeth
Bates of the County of Alachua and State of Florida party of the
second part Witnesseth that the said part of the first part
for and in consideration of the sum of Ninety 9000 Dollars to me
in hand paid by the said party of the second part at and
before the Ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged. Have bargained sold released
granted conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth
bargain sell release grant convey and confirm unto the said
party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever all that
certain lot tract or parcel of land situate lying and being
in the Town of Hawthorn in the County of Alachua and more
particularly known and described as Block number (2) Two
Containing (3/4ths three fourths of an acre more or less also
(30) thirty feet front and (40) feet back in the
south west corner in Block (10) Ten lot Number (6) six
all the above described lands lying and being in said Town
of Hawthorn: Togather with all and singular the tenements here-
ditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise
appertaining and all the Estate right title interest property
possession claim and demand whatsoever as well in Law
as in Equity of the said party of the first part in and to the
above described premises and Every part and parcel thereof.
To Have and To Hold the above bargained and described prem
=ises with the appurtenances unto the said party of the 
second part her heirs and assigns to her and their own proper
use benefit and behoof forever and the said party of the
first part for his heirs Executors and administrators do
hereby covenant with the said party of the second part
her heirs and assigns that at the time of the Delivery hereof
the said party of the first part is the lawful owner of the
premises above granted and seized thereof in fee simple
absolute that they are free from all encumbrances 
that the said party of the first part have good right
to sell and convey the same to the said party of the second
part as aforesaid and that the said parties of the first
part her heirs Executors and administrators: the above
described and hereby granted and described premises and Every
part and parcel thereof with the appurtenances unto the said
party of the second part heirs and assigns against the
said party of the first part and his heirs and against
all and Every person and persons whomsoever lawfully claiming
