Annie E. & George F. Bates To Charles Benedict
"Deed"
State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that we Annie E. Bates and George
Alachua County } F. Bates her husband of the aforesaid County and State for and in
Consideration of the sum of Nine Hundred dollars to him in hand paid by Charles
Benedict of the County of Duval in the State of Florida the receipt whereof we do hereby
acknowledge have granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant
bargain, sell and convey unto the said Charles Benedict all of that certain lot piece
tract or parcel of land situated, lying, and being in the County of Alachua in the State
of Florida particularly known and described as follows to wit: lying and being in the
Town of Hawthorn County of Alachua and particularly described as Block Number (2)
two containing 3/4 three fourths of an acre more or less Also (30) Thirty feet front and
(40) Forty feet back in the South west Block (10) ten Lot number (6) Six Containing by
estimation one acres of land more or less Together with all and singular the
tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining
To Have and to Hold the same unto the the said Charles Benedict and to his heirs
executors administrators and assigns in fee simple absolute And we the said Annie
E. Bates and George F. Bates her husband do hereby covenant and agree to and with
the said Charles Benedict that they __ lawfully seized in fee of the property
herein and hereby conveyed; and that we have good and lawful right to sell and
convey the same, That the same are free from all incumbrances of any kind whatsoever
and that they will and their heirs executors and administrators shall and will
forever warrant and defend the same unto the the said Charles Benedict and
to his heirs executors and administrators and assigns against the lawful claims
the same. In Witness Whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our

personally appeared Mrs Annie E. Bates wife of George F. Bates the grantor in the
foregoing conveyance who being first duly questioned and examined by me separate
and apart from her said husband, says and acknowledges before me that she did
sign the said deed of conveyance freely and voluntarily and without any
compulsion constraint apprehension or fear of or from her said husband
