Mary N. Bailey To Florida Southern Rail Way Company
"Deed"
State of Florida } This Indenture made this 10th day of August AD 1881 between
Alachua County } Mrs Mary N. Bailey (widow) of the aforesaid County and
State the party of the first part and the Florida Southern Railway Company
the party of the second part. Witnesseth The party of the first part for and in
consideration of the sum of Twenty Dollars to her in hand paid by the party of the
second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted, bargained, sold
and conveyed unto the party of the second part a parallelogram or strip
of land Thirty (30) feet in width off of and from the entire South end of Lot
or Block No Twelve (12) in the South half of Section Thirty two (32) in Township
Nine (9) South of Range Twenty (20) East in Alachua County, Florida as the
said Lot is laid down and designated upon a map of said South half of
said Section Thirty two (32) recorded at page 203 of Deed book "K" public
records of Alachua County Fla said Strip of land hereby conveyed being a part
of what is laid off and designated upon said map as and for a Street; Said Strip
of land being hereby conveyed to the party of the second part and to its successors
and assigns as and for a right of way to enable the said party of the second part
part and its successors and assigns to build, construct, have hold, use and operate
a railway over and upon and across the same and the said party of the Second
part its successors and assigns in consideration aforesaid and in consideration of
its construction and operation of its said railway hereby has and shall have the
right and privilege to go beyond the limits of the said Thirty (30) feet or way
hereby granted and released to drain said way and to keep it drained and
the said party of the first part hereby covenants and agrees not to disturb or
molest the party of the second part its successors and assigns servants agents or
employees in the full & free use and enjoyment of the said way or privileges.
To have and to Hold the above granted premises and privileges unto the party
of the second part its successors and assigns forever against all and
every person or persons lawfully claiming or to claim the same by or through the
party of the first part. In witness whereof the party of the first part has hereunto
set her hand and affixed her seal the day and year first above written

Alachua County } before me a Notary Public in and for said State of Florida
at large in person appeared Mrs Mary N. Bailey the grantor in the foregoing
deed of conveyance who acknowledged before me that she did sign seal execute
and deliver the said foregoing deed of conveyance for the uses and purposes
therein contained and expressed
