Mattie S. and George W. Means to John B. Gordon
                                 "Deed"
State of Florida } This Indenture made on the fifteenth day of October in the Year
Alachua County   } of our Lord Eighteen hundred and Eighty one between Mattie S.
Means and her husband George E. Means of the first part and John B. Gordon
of the State of Georgia of the second part Witnesseth; that for and in consideration of
the sum of Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars to them in hand paid at and
before the sealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
the parties of the first part have given granted bargained sold and conveyed and
by these presents do so give grant bargain sell and convey to the said party of
the second part the following described property to wit: An undivided half interest
in section thirty three (33) of Township Eleven (11) of Range twenty one (21) Containing
Six hundred and forty acres of land and water, Situate on the West side of Orange
Lake in the County and State aforesaid and in the Arredondo Grant. To have and
to hold unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns in Fee
Simple forever the above described premises together with an undivided half interest
in all and Singular the houses buildings improvements Orange Groves Crop of
Oranges and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining
And the said parties of the first part for themselves and their heirs and assigns that they
are Seized in Fee of the premises aforesaid that they are free from all
encumbrances that they have good right to sell and convey the same to
the party of the Second part and that they will warrant and defend the Titles
to the same against the lawful claims and demands of all persons In
witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their
hands and Seals on the day & Year first above written

    Know all men by these presents that I Mattie S. Means wife of George W. Means
of my own free will and accord and without any fear constraint or apprehension of or from
my said husband became a party to the foregoing Indenture of Deed and thereby
freely and voluntarily conveyed to the party of the second part all my right title
and interest in and to an undivided half interest in the parcel of land therein
described, In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this 15th
day of October 1881
