              Charles Hodge to W.J. Hodge
                         "Deed"
State of Florida } This Indenture made the second day of November in the
Alachua County   } Year One thousand Eight hundred and Eighty one between
Charles Hodge of the first part and W.J. Hodge of the Second part Boath 
of the State and County aforesaid witnesseth that the said party of the
first part for and in consideration of the sum of one Hundred Dollars
lawful money of the United States to him duly paid before the delivery
hereof hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant and convey
to the said party of the second part his Heirs and Assigns forever all that
certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Alachua
State of Florida and which is known and described as follows to wit:
the North half of the South East quarter and the South half of the North
East quarter of Section thirty four (34) in Township nine (9) South of Range
Seventeen East containing one hundred and Sixty two 78/100 Acres 162 78/" Acres
of Land more or less Together with all and Singular the Tenements hereditaments
and appurtenances and all the Estate Title and interest of the said
party of the first part therein and the party of the first part doth hereby
covenant and agree with the said party of the Second part that at the time
of the delivery hereof the said party of the first part is the lawful owner of
the premises above granted and Seized thereof in fee Simple absolute and
that he will warrant and defend the above granted premises in the quiet and
peaceable possession of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns
forever. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the
second day of November One Thousand Eight hundred and Eighty one
