A. Edwards his wife the grantors in the foregoing deed each of
whom acknowledged that they signed sealed and delivered the
foregoing deed for the uses and purposes there set forth

     Peoples Bank South Carolina to Washington W. Redd
                        "Deed"
This Indenture made and entered into this First day of November Anno
Domino Eighteen hundred and Eighty one Witnesseth: that on the
twelfth day of June 1867 James T. Soutter and John McRae as Trustees
of the Florida Rail Road Company executed a deed in favor of
James B. Betts Cashier Conveying to him certain lands in the
State of Florida all of which will more fully appear by reference
being made to the records of deeds in the County of Alachua State
of Florida and whereas the said James B. Betts was at the date
of said deed the cashier of the Peoples Bank of South Carolina 
a body corporate under the laws of the State of South Carolina and
whereas the consideration paid for said lands consisted of certain bonds
and securities all of which were then the property of Said Bank by
virtue of which ownership the said Bank became the rightful owner
of the lands mentioned or described in said deed Now therefore Know
all men by these presents: That the Peoples Bank of South Carolina a
body corporate under the laws of the State of South Carolina party
of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Two Hundred
and Twenty five dollars to it paid by Washington W. Redd of Alachua
County State of Florida party of the second part the receipt of which
is hereby acknowledged and confessed hath granted bargained
sold and conveyed and doth by these presents grant bargain sell and
confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and
assigns forever; All those certain lots or parcels of land lying and being
in the town of Waldo County of Alachua State of Florida and better
known and described on the plat of said town as surveyed by P.W.O.
Koerner in May 1870) as lots Number Six (6) Seven (7) and Eight (8) of
Block number twenty two (22) lying together One Hundred and fifty eight feet
(158) on Alachua Street which bounds them on the North West and running
one hundred feet (100) on Seydell Street which bounds them on the South
West each of said lots being Fifty two (52) feet and Eight (8) inches
