Annie A. Thompson to me well known to be the persons who executed
the within deed by them sealed and Subscribed; and the said Yates
Thompson and Annie A. Thompson acknowledged the execution
thereof to be their free act and deed for for the uses and purposes
therein mentioned. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand
    (      )     and affixed my official seal at Savannah in the
 ( Commisioner ) County of Chatham and State of Georgia this 5th

              J.D. Whitcomb et al to J.B. Martin
                             "Deed"
  Know all men by these presents that we J.D. Whitcomb M.L. Whitcomb and
S.M. Whitcomb of Limestone County Texas and A.H. Whitcomb and Annie E.
Muggah and her husband J.P. Muggah of ___ County Louisiana for and in
in consideration of the sum of Three hundred dollars to us in hand paid by
J.B. Martin of Alachua County Florida before the delivery hereof and the
further sum of three hundred dollars to be paid by said J.B. Martin
twelve months thereafter with ten per cent interest, which last payment
is evidenced by the promissory note of said J.B. Martin of even date herewith
have bargained and Sold aliened and conveyed and by these presents
do alien bargain & Sell and convey unto him the said J.B. Martin the
following described tracts of land and being being situate in the County
of Alachua State of Florida to wit: all that certain parcel or tract of land
known on a private plat of the Leitner lands surveyed and made by
W.C. Miller as lots No Six (6) and fifteen (15) and lying north of what is
Called burnt pond each lot Containing forty acres more or less of land and
water and both of them being part of what is called or commonly known
as the Leitner place, the same being Situated in what is known on the
map as the Arradondo Grant made by David H. Burr and Henry Washington
and as a part of Section No Nine of the Moses E. Levy grant - and being
the Same land conveyed by deed dated 25th Jany 1877 made by J.T. McMillan
and J.D. Matheson trustees to Cornelius S. Whitcomb - To have and Hold
unto him the said J.B. Martin his heirs and assigns in fee simple
forever and we hereby covenant with the said J.B. Martin that we
have good right to convey the said premises that the same are free
from all encumbrances made or suffered by us and that we our heirs
& legal representatives will forever warrant & defend the title thereto unto
the said J.B. Martin his heirs and assigns against the lawful
claims and demands of all persons claiming or to claim the same
