    Hiram Johnson and Wife to The Florida Southern Railway Company
                       "Land Contract"
State of Florida } This Indenture made and entered into on this 1st day of December
Alachua County   } AD 1881 by and between Hiram Johnson and Mrs J.E. Johnson
of the aforesaid State and County parties of the first part, and the Florida
Southern Railway Company, the party of the Second part, Witnesseth: That
the parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the Sum of one
dollar us in hand paid by the party of the second part at and before
the ensealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof we
do hereby acknowledge; and for and in consideration of the great enhan=
cement in value that will result to adjacent or neighboring property
from the location and construction by the party of the second 
part of its Railway near to or over our real estate Situated in Said
State and County do hereby covenant and agree and obligate and
bind ourselves heirs executors and administrators that as soon as the
party of the second part its successors or assigns shall have located
and constructed and shall have in actual operation its Railway over
or across lands hereinafter described then the the said parties of the
first part * will convey unto the Said Florida Southern Rail way Company
the party of the second part, or to its Successors or assigns by good
and sufficient and perfect deed of conveyance in fee simple absolute and
free from all encumbrances the following described real estate situated lying
and being in Alachua County in the State of Florida, to wit: One undivided
one half interest in and to sections Seven and Eighteen range (20) Twenty
Township (9) nine of the "Arredondo Grant" reserving unto the party of the
