as commencing at the North West corner of the Lot Now owned and
occupied in Gainesville Florida by Mrs Augusta S. Matheson on
the East side of "Sweet Water Branch" thence running East Two Hundred
and twenty (220) yards Thence North two (2) chains and Sixty three (63)
Links thence West Two Hundred and Twenty (220) yards thence South
Two (2) chains and Sixty three Links to the place of beginning containing
Three and 39/100 (3 39/100) acres of land more or less = Together with
all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances
to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining To Have and to
Hold the same unto him the said John S. Ramsey and to his heirs
executors administrators and assigns in fee simple absolute forever
and the said Elise W. Haile and Charles E. Haile her husband do
hereby covenant and agree to and with the said John S. Ramsey
that I the said Elise W. Haile am lawfully seized in fee of the
premises hereby conveyed and that we have good right to sell and
convey the same and that we will and our heirs executors and
administrators Shall and will warrant and defend the title to the
premises hereby conveyed unto him the said John S. Ramsey
and to his heirs executors administrators and assigns forever against
the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever
In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed
our seals on this 19th day of December A.D. 1877

wife of Charles E. Haile who being first duly questioned and examined
by me separate and apart from her said husband says and
acknowledges that she did execute sign seal and deliver the
foregoing deed of conveyance of her separate property for the
uses and purposes as are therein contained and expressed
freely and voluntarily and without any compulsion constraint
apprehension or fear of or from her Said husband
