Florida Land and Immigration Company to Samuel B. Thompson
Deed
This Indenture, made the Eleventh day of November in the Year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and Seventy Eight Between The Florida Land and
Immigration Company a body Corporate under the Laws of the State of
Florida of the first part, and Samuel B. Thompson of the County of
Columbia and State of Florida of the Second part Witnesseth that the
said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of One
Dollar lawful money of the United States of America to it in hand
paid by the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing
and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
has remised released and quit claimed and by these presents remise
release and quit-claim unto the said party of the second part and to
his heirs and assigns forever All those certain tracts or parcels of Land
Situate lying and being in the County of Alachua and State of Florida
and described on the public maps of said State as the South half of the
North East quarter; the South East quarter of the North West quarter
the North East quarter of the South West quarter and the North West
quarter of the South East quarter of Section Twenty three (23) of Township
Seven (7) South of range Nineteen (19) East, Containing Two Hundred (200)
Acres more or less Being the Same tracts or parcels of land conveyed or
intended to have been conveyed by M.A. Williams as Agent and Attorney
for James T. Soutter and John McRae Trustee for the lands of the Florida
Railroad Company, to said Samuel B. Thompson on the 4th day of
January AD 1864 as Shown by Deed attached hereto which said
Deed not having been placed on record the said Lands were Subseque-
ntly conveyed by Deed direct from J.T. Soutter and John McRae Trustees
as aforesaid to Edward N. Dickerson as appears by Deed bearing date June
[S1/2 of NE1/4 & SE1/4 of NW1/4 & NE1/4 of SW1/4n& NW1/4nof SE1/4 SEC23 TWP7 R19]
