Marion County } Know all men by these presents That we
Ida V. Gates and her husband Henry C. Gates of the aforesaid
county and state for and in consideration of the sum of Four
hundred and fifty Dollars to us in hand paid by George K.
Broome of the county of Alachua in the state of Florida
the receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge have
granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these
presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto him
the said George K. Broome all of that certain lot
piece tract or parcel of land situated lying and being in the
county of Alachua in the state of Florida particularly known
and described as follows to wit: Commencing at a stake
distant from the half mile stake of western Boundary line of Section
Five Township Ten (10) Range Twenty (20) running east ten chains
and sixty links to a stake Thence south Twelve and one half
(12 1/2) chains thence east twelve chains and ninety (90) links Thence
north six chains and ten (10) feet Thence west Four hundred
and Twenty (420) feet Thence north four hundred and twenty
(420) feet Thence west four hundred and thirty seven (437) feet
to the place of beginning. Saving and excepting the lots of land run-
ning Four hundred and thirty six (436) feet north and South by
Two hundred (200) feet east and west in the extreme north west
corner of before mentioned lot The same being the Lot deeded to
Mrs Ida V. Gates by Mrs Mary F. Bliss containing by estima-
tion Eleven acres of Land more or less Together with
all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances
to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining To have
and to hold the same unto him the said George K. Broome
and to his heirs executors administrators and assigns
in fee simple absolute and we the said Mrs Ida V. Gates and
Henry C. Gates do hereby covenant and agree to and with
the said George K. Broome that they lawfully seiz-
ed in fee of the property herein and hereby conveyed
and that we have good and lawful right to sell and
convey the same that the same is free from
all encumbrances of any kind whatsoever and that
they will and their heirs executors and administrators
shall and will forever warrant and defend the same
unto him the said George K. Broome and to his
heirs executors administrators and assigns against
the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons
whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim the same
In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hand and
affixed our seals on this 19th day of Dec AD 1882
