"Deed"
This Indenture made this twenty second day of June
in the Year of Our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Eighty
two. By and between John Pettibone of Washington City
in the District of Columbia unmarried of the first part
and Chas A McEwen of said City and District of the
second part. Witnesseth that the said party of the first
part for and in Consideration of the sum of Twelve hundred
$1200.00. In lawful money of the United States to him
in hand paid by the said party of the second part at and
before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt
where of is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained
sold aliened enfeoffed released and Conveyed and doth
by these presents grant bargain sell alien enfeoff release and
Convey unto the said party of the second part his heirs and
assigns for ever. All those Certain piece or parcels of ground
situated lying and being in the County of Alachua State of
Florida To Wit. Lots One (1) Two (2) Three (3) and four
(4) in Block Five (5) Range Three (3) also Lots One (1) Two
(2) Three (3) Four (4) also Lots One (1) Two (2) Three (3) Four (4)
in Block Five (5) in Range Five (5) also Lots One (1) Two
(2) Three (3) and Four (4) in Block Three (3) Range Fifteen
(15). Each Lot Containing one quarter of an Acre of ground
making four Acres of Land in above lots) in section
Thirty three (33) Township Nine (9) Range Twenty (20) known
as Elliot and LEngle's addition to the town of Gainesville
Florida surveyed by John A. Banks August 26th 1874
and duly recorded in said County. Together with all the
