W.S. French and wife to Mary M. Pratt
                       "Deed"
State of Florida   }  Know all men by these Presents that W.S. French and his
Alachua County     }  wife Laura G. French  of
of the aforesaid county and state for and in consideration of the sum of One
Hundred and Twenty <120> dollars to us in hand paid by Mary M. Pratt
of the County of Scioto in the State of Ohio the receipt whereof
we do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and conveyed and by
these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto her the said Mary
M. Pratt all of that certain lot piece tract or parcel of land situated lying and
being in the County of Alachua in the State of Florida particularly
known and described as follows to wit: Commencing at a point on the Eastern
boundary of lot Sixty <60) of the "Leitner Lands" Nine (9) chains and
fifty eight (58) Links North from the South Eastern corner of said
lot running thence Westward on a line parallel to the Southern boundary
of said lot sixty to the Western boundary of said lot thence North five
(5) chains and seventy (75) links along said western boundary thence Eastward
on a line parallel to the Southern Boundary of said lot Sixty (60) to
the eastern boundary of said lot thence Southward five (5) chains and
seventy five (75) links along said eastern boundary to the point of beginning
containing by estimation Fifteen acres of land more or less. Together with all
and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the same
belonging or in anywise appertaining. To have and to hold the same unto her
the said Mary M. Pratt and to her heirs executors administrators and assigns
in fee simple absolute and we the said W.S. French and Laura G. French
 do hereby covenant and agree to and with
the said Mary M Pratt that we are lawfully seized in fee of the
property herein and hereby conveyed and that we have good and lawful
right to sell the same that the same is free from all encumbrances of any
kind whatsoever and that we will and our heirs executors and administra=
tors shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto her the said
Mary M. Pratt and to her heirs executors administrators and assigns against
the lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whomsoever now
claiming or hereafter to claim the same. In Witness Whereof we have hereunto set
our hand and affixed our seal on this ___ day of February 8th AD 1883

Alachua County  }  I hereby certify that on this day of February 8th AD 1883 before
me personally appeared Mrs Laura G. French wife of W.S. French the
Grantor in the foregoing conveyance who being first duly questioned and
examined by me separate and apart from her said husband says and
acknowledges before me that she did sign the said deed of conveyance
for the purpose of releasing relinquishing and renouncing all of her
right of Dower in and to the land in said deed described and that
said relinquishment and renunciation of Dower was done and made
