A.C. Thompson has been duly commissioned and
qualified as such Judge and that in his said official
capacity he is duly authorized by the laws of said State of
Ohio to take the acknowledgement of deeds and other instru
ments of conveyance of land and real estate and that his
signature to said acknowledgement genuine and that
full faith and credit should be given to all his official
acts as such. Witness my hand and the seal of said Court
at the City of Portsmouth in said County of Scioto this

This Indenture made the first day of January in
the year of our lord one thousand Eight hundred
and Eighty Three Between Mary Ann Johnson and James
K. Johnson of the first part and Joseph S McDowell
of the second part Witnesseth that the said parties of
the first part for and in consideration of the sum of
Two Hundred ($20000) Dollars lawful money of the United
States of America to us in hand paid by the said party
of the second part at or before the ensealing and
delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged have granted bargained sold alien
ed remised released conveyed and confirmed and
by these presents do grant bargain sell alien rem
ise convey and confirm unto the said party of the
second part and his heirs and assigns forever all
that tract or parcel of land located in the County of
Alachua and State of Florida South of Archer about
