first part of in and to the above granted premises and
every part thereof with the appurtenances To have and to
hold the above mentioned and described premises with
the appurtenances to the said party of the second part her
heirs and assigns forever and the said W.T. Tillis and M.M.
Tillis his wife and his heirs the above described and hereby
granted and released premises and every part and parcel
thereof with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second
part her heirs and assigns against the said parties of the first
part and their heirs and against all and every person and person
and persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same
or any part thereof shall and will warrant and by these presents

1883 before me L. Harrison a Justice of the Peace of Columbia
County personally appeared M.M. Tillis wife of U.F. Tillis
to me known to be the person described in and who executed
the foregoing instrument and acknowledged the execution
thereof to be her free act and deed for the uses and purposes
therein mentioned and the wife of U.F. Tillis on an
examination taken and made separately and apart
from her said husband did acknowledge that she
made her self a party to the said deed for the purpose
of renouncing and relinquishing her dower or right
of dower in and to the lands tenements and hereditaments
therein described and thereby granted and released and
that such relinquishment or renunciation of dower
is made by her freely and voluntarily and without any
constraint apprehension or fear of or from her said
husband Witness my hand and seal the date aforesaid
