in and for Alachua County Florida and to me
directed wherein Howard Furman was plaintiff and
       Chandler M Chandler J.D. Goss & Gilbert Palmer
were defendant John W. Turner as sheriff of said Alachua County
Florida have duly levied upon the property hereinafter
described and under and by virtue of said decree have
duly advertised the said property for sale on this
sixth day of November AD 1882 according to law and
whereas on this sixth day of November AD 1882 I did
as such sheriff duly sell the said property hereinafter
described under and by virtue of the said decree at
public out cry before the court house door in the Town
of Gainesville in Alachua County Florida and whereas
at said sale James D Goss became the purchaser of the
said property hereinafter described at and for the
sum of Two Hundred dollars that being the highest
best and last sum bid for the same at said sale
and he being the bidder thereof, Now Therefore know
all men by these presents that I the said John W. Turner
as such sheriff as aforesaid under by virtue of the
said decree and under by virtue of the levey advertise
ment and sale thereunder made and for and in
consideration of the said sum of Two Hundred dollars
to me as such sheriff cash in hand on this day paid
by the said James D. Goss the receipt whereof I do hereby
acknowledge have granted bargained sold transferred
aliened and conveyed and by these presents do grant
bargain sell Transfer alien and convey unto James
D. Goss the said purchaser thereof the following des-
cribed property to wit. the south Half of Lot Thirty
one (S. 2 L. 31) according to Cessna?s map of the Town 
of Fairbanks Alachua County State of Florida in
Section Twelve (S. 12) Township Nine (T. 9) Range Twenty
South and East (R. 20 S & E) containing ten acres
square being the most southern Ten acres covered by
the mortgage upon which the said decree was found
ed at the time said decree was rendered and accor-
ding to the consent which was the basis of said
decree. Together with all and singular the tenements
hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belong
ing or in anywise appertaining To have and to hold
the same unto him the said James D. Goss and to his
heirs and assigns forever as fully as I the said sheriff
am lawfully authorized and empowered to do. In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my
sseal on this 23d day of November AD 1882.
