"Deed"
This Indenture made the twentieth day of February in the year
of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Eighty three Between
Edwin Sandys Dawes George Augustus Thomson and Anthony Norris
of London England Trustees of the Florida land and Colonization
Company limited incorporated under the companies acts 1862
to 1880 and whose registered office is situate at 13, Austin
Friars London E.C. England parties of the first part and
Henrietta Battey of Nickerson State of Kansas party of the
second part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part
for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred Dollars
lawful money to them in hand paid by the said party of the
second part at or before the ensealing and delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have
granted bargained sold remised released conveyed and confirmed
and by these presents do grant bargain sell remise release convey
and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to her
heirs and assigns forever all those certain lots or parcels of
land situate lying and being in the County of Alachua and
State of Florida and better Known and described as follows
to wit on W.C. Millers map all of lot Thirty Six (36) in
Section thirty one 31, Township Ten (10) South of Range
Nineteen (19) East containing ten acres (10) more or less Also all
of lots Three (3) and Four (4) of Block Eighteen (18) of the town
of Metcalfe Alachua County Florida containing one acre more
or less = Together with all and singular the tenements hereditam=
ents and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in anywise
appertaining and the reversion and reversions remainder rents
issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title
interest property possession claim and demand whatsoever
as well in law as in equity of the said parties of the first part of
in and to the above described premises and every part and parcel
thereof with the appurtenances To Have and to Hold all and
singular the above mentioned and described premises together
with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second
part her heirs and assigns forever And the said parties
of the first part for themselves and their successors as Trustees
as aforesaid binding themselves only to the extent of their
first property held by them under warranty and dated December
twenty eighth AD one thousand Eight hundred and eighty
executed by them by Henry Shelton Sanford and Gertrude E.
Sanford his wife the above described and hereby granted and
released premises and every part and parcel thereof with
the appurtenances unto the said party of the second
part her heirs and assigns against the said parties of the
first part and their successors and against all and every
person or persons whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim

This Deed has been Cancelled and declared null and void by a Decree of the
Circuit Court Which Decree is duly recorded in Chancery Order Book "C" at
