Alachua County   }  Know all men by these presents that we
Sarah R. Barnes and Louis A. Barnes of the aforesaid county
and state for and in consideration of the sum of six
hundred ($60000) dollars to us in hand paid by C.L. Hauton
of the county of Washington in the State of Ohio the
receipt whereof we do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained
sold and conveyed and by these presents do grant barg
ain sell and convey unto him the said C.L. Haughton all of that
certain lot piece tract or parcel of land situated lying and
being in the county of Alachua in the State of Florida particu
larly Known and described as follows to wit: Starting at a
point in the centre of the SW 1/4 of the NE 1/4 Sec 14 T10 S R 20
E running thence south 5 chains to a stake thence East
12 1/2 chains to a stake thence North 10 chains in Edge of McKinley
Pond thence west 17 1/2 chains to a stake thence South 5 chains
to a Stake thence east 5 chains to place of beginning con-
taining by estimation 15 acres of land more or less Together with all
and singular the tenements hereditament and appurtenances to
the same belonging or in anywise appertaining To have and to
hold the same unto him the said C.L. Hauton and to heirs
executors administrators and assigns in fee simple absolute
and we the said Sarah R. Barnes and Louis A. Barnes do hereby
covenant and agree to and with the said C.L. Hauton
that we are lawfully seized in fee of the property herein and
hereby conveyed and that we have good and lawful right
to sell and convey the same that the same is free from
all encumbrances of any Kind whatsoever and that we will
and our heirs executors and administrators shall and will
forever warrant and defend the same unto him the said
C.L. Hauton and to his heirs executors administrators and
assigns against the lawful claims and demands of any and
all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim
the same In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands
and affixed our seals on this 8th day of March A.D. 1883.
