"Deed"
State of Florida } This Indenture maid this the third day of
Lafayette County } June in the year one thousand Eight hundred
& Seventy one between Catharine Martin of the first part & James
H. Evans of the other part Both of said County & State aforesaid
Witness that that the said Catharine Martin for & in consideration
of the sum of Two hundred Dollars to her in hand paid
by the said James H. Evans the receipt of which is acknowle=
dged has remised Released granted bargained sold & conveyed
unto the said James H. Evans his heirs & assigns a certain Lot
of land lying on the East side of the Suwannee River in Alachua
County State of Florida Lot No 4 Section 7 Township 9 South of Range
14 E containing 89 acres with the Ferry attached to the said Lot
of Land which I do warrant & defend from myself my heirs
executors & administrators & all other persons to have & to hold the
above granted premises to the said James H. Evans his heirs
& assigns in fee simple. In testimony whereof the said
Catharine Martin has hereunto set her hand & seal this day
and year above written her

Lafayette County } This day personally before the undersigned
an acting Justice of the peace in and for County and
State aforesaid came G.A.C. Martin to me well known as
one of the Subscribing witnesses to the within deed who
being duly sworn deposes and says that the within deed was
duly executed and delivered by the grantor Catharine Martin
in his presence and in the presence of Uriah Joyner
the other subscribing witness and that he the affiant
and said Uriah Joiner then and there signed the same
as Subscribing witnesses and that the signature of said
Uriah Joiner to said deed is his genuine signature
