of the County of Alachua in the State of Florida the receipt whereof
we do hereby acknowledge have granted bargained sold and conveyed
and by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto him the
said L.W. Jackson all of that certain lot piece tract or parcel
of land Situated lying and being in the county of Alachua
in the State of Florida particularly known and described as
follows to wit: Commencing at the South West corner of the lot in
said Town of Gainesville now owned and occupied by J.B. Dawkins
(and which was conveyed by J.B. Dawkins to M.C. Wilkinson & Sarah Weedon)
said Dawkins having bought of J.B. Bailey thence east along the
Southern Boundary of the lot now owned & occupied by said J.B.
Dawkins one hundred feet to a stake; thence North (180) one
hundred & Eighty feet to a stake thence West one hundred
(100) feet to the western Boundary of said James B. Dawkins lot
thence South one hundred & Eighty (180) feet to the place of
beginning containing by estimation 18000 Square feet of land more or
less. Together with all and Singular the tenements hereditaments
and appurtenances to the same belonging or in any wise appertain=
ing To Have and Hold the same unto him the said L.W.
Jackson and to his heirs executors administrators and assigns
in fee simple and absolute And we the said Dora C. Ellis &
T.B. Ellis her husband do hereby covenant and agree to and
with the said L.W. Jackson that they are lawfully Seized in
fee of the property herein and hereby conveyed and that we
have good and lawful right to sell and convey the same that
the same is free from all encumbrances of any kind whatsoever
and that the will and their heirs executors and administrators
shall and will forever warrant and defend the same unto him
the said L.W. Jackson and to his heirs executors administrators
and assigns against the lawful claims and demands of any and
all persons whomsoever now claiming or hereafter to claim the

Alachua County   } I hereby certify that on this 27th day of
January AD 1882 before me personally appeared Mrs Dora
C. Ellis wife of T.B. Ellis the grantor in the foregoing
conveyance who being first duly questioned and examined
by me separate and apart from her said husband says and
acknowledges before me that she did sign the said
deed of conveyance for the purpose of releasing relinquish=
ing and announcing all of her right of title in and to
the land in said deed described and that said renunciation
of said title was done and made by her freely and
