Phillis Meekin to me personally known as the wife
of Flemon Meekin grantor in the foregoing Deed
of conveyance and in an examination taken before me
separate and apart from her said husband
says and acknowledges that she freely and
voluntarily relinquishes and renounces all her
dower or right of dower in and to the lands there
in described and that she does so without
fear of or compulsion from her said husband

"Deed"
State of South Carolina } This Indenture made and entered into
County of Sumpter } on this 22nd day of November AD 1882 by
and between Julia R. Furman (widow) of the County of
Sumter State of South Carolina party of the first part and
Samuel Y. Finley of the County of Alachua State of Florida
party of the Second part, Witnesseth that the said party of the
first part for and in consideration of the sum of Eight Hundred
Dollars to her cash in hand paid by the party of the
second part at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof
hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and doth by these
Presents grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the
said party of the second part and his heirs and assigns
all that Lot Tract piece or parcel of land situate lying
and being in the County of Alachua in the State of
Florida particularly known and described as follows
to wit: Lot Number (4) Four of Block Number Two Range
(4) lying being and Situated in the Town of Gainesville
County of Alachua State of Florida particularly described
according to the map of Roper's Addition to the said
Town of Gainesville as appears of Record in deed Book "J"
at pages 550 in the Clerk's office of the said county
