H.C. Gibbons and Guin to P.B.H. Dudley
                   "Deed"
This Indenture made & entered into this Dec the 4th A.D. 1874 between Henry C.
Gibbons and Jas F. Guin parties of the first part and P.B.H. Dudley party of
the second part witnesseth that whereas an order was made by the Hon
J.H. Goss Judge of the 5th Judicial Circuit of Florida appointing the said
parties of the first part commissioners to sell the real property of the estate
of John Fleming late of the County of Alachua State of Florida
deceased on the first Monday of August A.D. 1874 said sale being for the
payment of the debts of said estate and whereas after advertisement of
the sale of said lands in the "New Era" an official Newspaper published in
said County a sale of the same was duly made at the Court House at
Gainesville in said County the same being offered by said Commissioners at
public auction to the highest bidder and whereas at said sale the party
of the second part made the highest bid for the following lands, part of
the lands of said estate so advertised as aforesaid to wit: The E 1/2 of the
NE 1/4 of Section 29, The SE 1/4 of SE 1/4 of Sec 20, the S 1/2 of SW 1/4 of sec 21 & the
SE 1/4 of SW 1/4 of Sec 20 all in Township 11 Range 18 Containing 240 acres
more or less & lying in said County of Alachua the said party of the
second part bidding for the same the sum of 25 cents per acre which
was the highest bid Now by virtue of the order of said Judge as
aforesaid and also by the further order and decree of said Judge dated
August the 15th A.D. 1874 ordering a conveyance by the parties of the first part
of the said lands to the purchasers thereof we the said parties of the
first part do hereby sell convey & transfer to the party of the second
part all the right title & interest of the said John Fleming in and
to the lands herein before mentioned and described: To Have & to hold the same
to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns In Witness
Whereof we have hereunto Set our hands & Affixed our seals this
the (4th) fourth day of December A.D. 1874
