ed Mrs. Frances W. Doig wife of James Doig the grantor
in the foregoing conveyance who being first duly quest-
ioned and examined by me separate and apart from
her said husband says and acknowledges before me that
she did sign the said deed of conveyance for the pur
pose of releasing relinquishing and renouncing all of her
right of dower in and to the land in said deed descr
ibed and that said relinquishment and renunciation
of dower was done and made by her freely and vol
untarily and without any compulsion constraint ap
prehension or fear of or from her said husband

"Deed"
This Indenture made this twenty Eighth day of
February A.D. one thousand eight hundred and
eighty three between Charles W. Brush and Julia A.
Van Ness the only surviving heirs at law and devisees
of Nehemiah Brush deceased parties of the first
part and Robert L. Robb of the State of Illinois party
of the second part witnesseth that in consideration of
the sum of <$4000$> Four thousand Dollars
paid by the said party of the second part to the
said parties of the first part the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged the said parties of the first
part do hereby grant bargain sell assign transfer
and set over unto the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns all that certain
