Wm A. Colclough et al To Charlotte E. Mayo
                          "Deed"
State of Florida } This Indenture made and entered into this 5th day
Alachua County   } of January AD 1882 between Col W.A. Colclough
Thaddeus Foster and Mrs A.L. Foster wife of the said Thaddeus Foster
who joins in this deed for the purpose of renouncing and relinquishing
all her right of dower in and to the property hereinafter described and
conveyed of the first part and Charlotte E. Mayo of the second part
all of the State and County aforesaid Witnesseth That the said parties of
the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty ($50.00) 
dollars to them paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
have granted bargained sold conveyed and quit claimed and by
these presents do grant bargain sell convey and quit-claim unto 
the said party of the first part all that certain lot tract piece
or parcel of land lying and being situate in the aforesaid State
and County and in the Town of Gainesville and particularly described
as follows to wit: The North half of Lot number Eight in Brush's
addition to the town of Gainesville said half of said Lot being
Two hundred feet north and South by Two hundred and Forty feet
East and west Together with all the right privileges and appurten=
ances to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining. To Have and
To Hold the same unto the said party of the second part and to her
heirs executors administrators and assigns forever in fee simple
absolute In testimony whereof the said parties of the first part have
hereunto set their hands and affixed their seals the day and year first
above written.

Alachua County   } I hereby certify that on this 5th day of January
AD 1883 before me personally appeared Mrs A.L. Foster wife of
Thaddeus Foster one of the grantors in the foregoing conveyance who
being first duly questioned and examined by me separate and apart
from her said husband says and acknowledges before me that she
signed the said deed of conveyance for the purpose of releasing relinq=
uishing and renouncing all her right of Dower in and to the 
land in said deed described and that said relinquishment 
and renunciation of dower was done and made by her freely and
voluntarily and without any compulsion constraint apprehension
or fear of or from her said husband
