                 "Deed"
This Indenture made this Fifteenth day of
June AD 1883 between James M. Hawthorn
and his wife Sarah P. Hawthorn who joins her
husband in this conveyance for the purpose
of renouncing and releasing all her dower and
right of dower in the lands hereinafter describ
ed both residing in the County of Alachua
and State of Florida parties of the first part
and Ella F. Merritt of the County of Alachua in said
State party of the second part witnesseth:  That for
and in consideration of One Hundred Dollars to the
parties of the first part paid by said Merritt
at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and
confessed have granted bargained sold assign
aliened enfeofed and Transferred and by these
presents do grant bargain sell assign Trans
fer convey and make over unto the party of 
the second part in fee simple absolute for
ever all that tract or lot of land lying and
being in said State and County of Alachua
and in the Town of Hawthorn and described
