foregoing and for the purpose therein expressed
and I further certify that the said Ella F. Merritt
at an examination separate and apart from her
said husband did acknowledge that she executed
the foregoing deed of conveyance and joined in the
same for the purpose of relinquishing all right in
and to the premises described therein and that the
relinquishment was made freely and voluntarily and
without any fear of constraint from her said
husband.

Alachua County } This Indenture made this 13 day
of June AD 1883 between James M. Hawthorn of the
County of Alachua and State of Florida and his
wife Mrs Sarah P. Hawthorn who joins her husb
and in this conveyance for the purpose of relinq
uishing her dower in the lands hereinafter described
parties of the first part and E. Thos Hawthorn of the
County of Alachua State of Florida of the second
part witnesseth that for and in consideration of
the sum of Two hundred and ten dollars to the
parties of the first part paid the receipt whereof
is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained
sold and by these presents do grant bargain
sell and convey unto the said party of the second
part his heirs and assigns in fee simple all of
that certain Tract or parcel of land lying and being
in Alachua County and described as follows to
wit West half of the South West quarter North
East quarter of South West Quarter and four
teen acres off of the South Side of the South
East quarter of the North West quarter contain
ing one hundred and thirty four acres more or
less To Have and to hold the above described land
to the said party of the second part his heirs |
