day of December AD 1883 By John R. Williams of
the County of Alachua State of Florida party of the second
part witnesseth that whereas the party of the First
part is Justly indebted in considerable sums of money
and has become unable to pay and discharge the same
with punctuality or in full and being desirous of
making an assignment of all his estate both real
and personal of whatsoever nature and kind for the
benefit of his creditors and especially to protect and
prefer in the payment of his indebtedness the Follow
ing named firms and Individuals creditors of his in the
order in which they are herein named  E.C.F. Sanchez
and R.F. Taylor doing business under the firm name
and Style of Taylor and Sanchez in the Town of Gaines
ville County of Alachua and State of Florida to whom
he is indebted in the Just and full sum of One
hundred Dollars and John R. Anders of the County
of Columbia State of Florida to whom he is indebted
in the Just and full sum of Two Thousand five
hundred dollars and F.E. Williams of Columbia County
State of Florida to whom he is indebted in the just and
full sum of Two thousand five hundred dollars
and Charles A. Williams of the County of Columbia 
State of Florida  To whom he is indebted in the Just and
full sum of five hundred dollars and A.G. Bigelow
of Lake City Fla in the just sum of Five hundred
and eighty one 48/100 Dollars being also desirous of making
a fair and Equitable distribution of the Balance of
his estate after paying the claims of the firms and
individual creditors above specified and particularly named
designated as his preferred creditors among his other
creditors share and share alike so far as the procee
ds of his said estate will allow now therefore the 
party of the First part in consideration of the prem
ises and of the sum of one dollar to him in hand
paid by the party of the second part the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bargain
ed and sold released assigned Transfered and set
over and by these Presents doth grant bargain
and sell release assign Transfer and set over unto
the said party of the second part and to his heirs
and assigns forever all and singular lands tenem
ents and hereditaments situate lying and being in 
the County of Columbia State of Florida in the
Town of Fort White known as the West half of
Lot numbered Seventeen and the East half of the
East half of lot numbered sixteen of the said
Town of Fort White according to the survey of said
