it known that on this Twenty sixth day of December
AD 1883 personally appeared before me a Notary Public
of the State of Florida the above named Maria A. Gladwin
to me well known as the wife of Stephen N. Gladwin and
as one of the persons described in and who executed the
foregoing deed who being at the time separate and 
apart from her husband the said Stephen N. Gladwin did
then and there make and execute the foregoing acknow 
ledgement her name being with her own hand subscribed
and her seal affixed in my presence.  Witness my hand
and Seal at Hawthorn Florida the day and year above

This Indenture made the 27th day of February in the
year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eighty
two Between Simon Lamps of Hawthorn County of Alachua
and State of Florida of the first part and Maria A. Glad
win of Melrose in said State and County of the sec
ond part witnesseth that the said party of the first
part for and in consideration of the sum of Forty 
Dollars lawful money of the United States of America
to him in hand paid by the said party of the second part
at or before the ensealing and delivery of these pres
ents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and
confessed hath given granted bargained sold
assigned transfered and conveyed and by these presents
does give grant bargain sell assign transfer
