"Deed"
This Indenture made the first day of October in
the year One thousand Eight hundred and Eighty
three between Edwin W. L'Engle and Eliza H.
his wife lately of the City of Gainesville State of
Florida now residing in the City of Santa Fe
Territory of New Mexico parties of the first part
and Edward M. L'Engle of the City of Jacksonville
State of Florida party of the second part witnesseth
that the parties of the first part in consideration
of the sum of Five thousand dollars paid by the
party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged have remised released and quit
claimed and by these presents do remise release
and quit claim unto the party of the second
part and to his heirs and assigns forever all
those parcels of land in the county of Alachua
state of Florida which are thus described namely
the North West quarter of section Seven in town
ship Ten Range Twenty containing one hundred
and Sixty acres and so much of the south
west quarter of the same section as is north of
the Transit Railroad containing thirty three
acres more or less Also the tract of land near the
northern boundary line of the town of Gainesville
the lines of survey of which commencing at a stake
three chains and Eighteen links from the corner
dividing sections thirty two and thirty three in
Township Nine Range Twenty South & East run
thence north Nineteen chains and fifty links
to a stake at Beatties crossing: thence East eighty
chains to section line thence South along said line
twenty two chains and sixty eight links to the
South East corner of the section: Thence west
along the section line Seventy three chains and
Sixty links to a stake in the swamp of sweet
