           Geo L. Barnes Sheriff  To  Esther W. Powell
                              "Sheriff Deed"

County of Alachua } This Indenture made this seventh day
of February AD 1870 between George L. Barnes Sheriff
of said County of the first part and Esther M. Powell
of the County of Alachua State of Florida of the second
part witnesseth that whereas by virtue of a writ
of Fieri Facias issued out of the Circuit Court
for said County and to him the said Sheriff dir
ected he was commanded that of the goods and
chattles lands and tenements of W.W. Geiger deceased
he caused to be made the sum of two Thousand
Eighty Eight 70/100 dollars with interest thereon Tog
ether with costs of suit which David L. Yulee admin
of Est of Moses E. Levy lately on the 24 day of Nov
ember AD 1869 recovered in our Circuit Court against
George R. Fairbanks snr executor of W.W. Geiger
deceased and whereas I George L. Barnes as Sheriff as
aforesaid by virtue of said writ did on the 23 day
of December AD 1869 levy upon and seize the prop
erty herein after described and did by virtue of
said writs and pursuant to the statutes in such case
made and provided duly advertise the said prop
erty for sale on the 7 day of February AD 1870 and 
did on that day sell the same at public auction ac
cording to law to Esther M. Powell for the sum of Five
Hundred and Seventy dollars being the Highest sum
bid for the same now therefore Know ye that I the
Said George L. Barnes as Sheriff as aforesaid by virtue
of the said writs and of the Statutes in such cases
made and provided for and in consideration of said
sum of Five Hundred and seventy dollars to me in
hand paid by the said Esther M. Powell party of
the second part have granted bargained and sold
and by these presents do grant bargain and sell
unto the said Esther M. Powell party of the second
part her heirs and assigns forever all the following 
property to wit Fractional section Twenty two (22)
and Section twenty one (21) and South half of East
