who being first duly questioned & examined by me separate and
apart from her said husband says & acknowledges before me that
she did sign the said Deed of conveyance for the purpose of releasing
relinquishing and renouncing all of her right of dower in and
to the said land in said described and that said relinquish-
ment & renunciation of Dower was made and done by her freely
and voluntarily and without any compulsion constraint ap
pr(ehens)ion or fear from her said husband. In testimony

This Indenture made this 5th day of June Anno Dom
-ini One Thousand eight hundred and eighty four between Edward
N. Dickerson of the City of New York County and State of New York
Trustee duly appointed by the Peninsular Rail Road Company of
Florida party of the first part and W.J. Waits of Alachua County
Florida party of the Second part Witnesseth that the said party
of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of
Fifty Dollars ($5000) to him in hand paid by the said party
of the Second part the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
hath given granted aliened bargained sold transferred and
doth by these presents give grant alien bargain Sell transfer and convey
unto the said party of the Second part and to his heirs and assigns
all that certain parcel or tract of land situated and lying in
the County of Alachua State of Florida and particularly Known
and described on the public maps and records of Said State
as The South West Quarter of the North East Quarter, of Section
Twenty three (23) in Township Eleven (11) South of Range Twenty
-two (22) East Containing Thirty nine and 81/100 acres (39 81/100) More
or less-- SW1/4 of NE1/4 Sec 23, T11 S R22 E 39 81/100 Acres.
Together with all and singular the tenements hered-
-itaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging and also all
the estate right title interest property claim and demand
whatsoever, as well in law as in equity, of the said party of
the first part of in and to the same with the Appurtenances
