Alachua County    } Know all men by these presents that
We Annie L Barton and D W L Barton of the aforesaid County
and State for and in consideration of the sum of Fifty
Dollars to us in hand paid by Dorcy Rutledge of the County of Ala
chua in the State of Florida the receipt whereof we do hereby ac
knowledge have granted bargained sold and conveyed and
by these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto
him the said Dorcy Rutledge all of that certain lot piece
tract or parcel of land situated, lying and being in the
County of Alachua in the State of Florida particularly kn
own and described as follows to wit: Commencing at the North
-east corner of Lot No 9 according to a plat made by Por
-ter and Barton, and described in the public records of
Alachua County State of Florida. The same being a frac
tional part of Section Twenty eight (28) Township Ten (10) Range
Nineteen (19) Running northwest ten chains (10) Thence South
west five chains (5) Thence south east ten chains (10) Thence
North East five chains (5) to point of Departure, containing
five (5) acres more or less. Together with all and singular the
tenements hereditaments and appurtenances to the same
belonging or in anywise appertaining. To have and hold the
same unto him the said Dorcy Rutledge and to his
heirs executors administrators and assigns in fee simple
and absolute. And we the said Annie L Barton and
D W L Barton do hereby covenant and agree to and with the 
said Dorcy Rutledge that we are lawfully seized in fee of
the property herein and hereby conveyed; and that we have
good and lawful right to sell and convey the same; that
the same is free from all encumbrances of any kind what
soever, and that we will and our heirs Executors and
administrators shall and will forever warrant and defend
the same unto him the said Dorcy Rutledge and to his
heirs Executors administrators and assigns against the
lawful claims and demands of any and all persons whom
soever claiming or hereafter to claim the same. In witness
whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our
seals on this 27 day of June AD 1882.
