appointing a new Trustee or new Trustees of this my will in the
place any Trustee or Trustees who shall during my lifetime or
after my decease die or desire to be discharged or refuse or become
unfit or incapable to act shall be exercisable by the surviving or
continuing Trustees or Trustee for the time being or active executors or
executor administrators or administrator of the last surviving and
continuing Trustee or by the last retiring Trustees or Trustee and upon
every or any such appointment the members of Trustees may be augmented
or reduced (yet so as not to reduce their number to less than two) and
in addition to the ordinary powers indemnity and right of reimbursement
by law given to Trustees) the Trustees for the time being of this my will
shall be at liberty to dispense wholly or partially with the
investigation or production of the Lessors title on lending money
or lease hold securities or otherwise to lend on any security with
less than a marketable title and either with or without receiving
payment of any part of the money for the time being charged or
received being charged or secured by way of mortgage or otherwise on any
property absolutely to release any part of such property if in
their his or her uncontrolled discretion my said Trustees or Trustee
for the time being shall consider the residue of such property
a sufficient security for the money so charged or secured as
aforesaid or the surplus thereof after any such partial
payment as aforesaid. I devise all the hereditaments which at
my death shall be vested in me for an estate of inheritan-
ce or for any estate pur autre vie which would devolve on
my heirs upon any Trusts or by way of Mortgage and of
which I shall at my death have power to dispose unto my
said wife and the said William Wright Thompson and Maurice
Powell and their heirs upon the Trusts and subject to the
equity of redemption which at my death shall be subsisting or
capable of taking effect there on respectively but the money
secured on such mortgages shall be taken as part of my personal
estate and I hereby appoint my said wife so long as she shall
continue my widow and the said William Wright Thomson and
Maurice Powell and from and after the future marriage of my said
wife the said William Wright Thomson and Maurice Powell alone
executors of this my Will and Guardians of my Infant Children
during their respective minorities and authorise and empower the
acting executors or executors for the time being of this my will to
pay and satisfy or compromise or compound any debts owing or
claimed to be owing by or from me or my Estate and any liabilities
to which I or my estate may be or maybe alleged to be subject &, to
accept any composition or any security real or personal for any debt
owing to me or my estate and to allow such time for the payment
of any such time for the payment of any such debt or composition
(either with or without taking security for the same) as to them or
him shall seem reasonable and to refer to Arbitration and settle
