from said lands above described that contains an average of not less
than Sixty five per cent of Phosphate of Lime and that does not contain over
four per cent of Iron and Alumina combined, it being hereby expressly
understood that no Phosphates or Phosphatic rocks taken from said land
are to be paid for that do not contain at least Sixty five per cent of
Phosphate of Lime or that does contain over four per cent of Iron and Alum
ina Combined the same to be tested and analyzed by the Chemist of the
parties of the second part or their assigns. In Witness Whereof the said parties

Application       9247        } whom these presents shall come Greeting
Whereas There has been deposited in the General Land office of the United 
States a Certificate of the Register of the Land office at Gainesville Florida 
whereby it appearng that pursuant to the Act of Congress approved 
20th May 1862 "To Secure Homesteads to actual Settlers on the Pub
lic Domain," and the Acts Supplemental thereto, the claim of 
Samuel Kerr has been established and duly Consumated in Con
formity to law for the West half of the South East Quarter and the
West half of the North East quarter of Section Seventeen in 
Township Eight South of Range Seventeen East of Tallahassee 
Meridian in Florida Containing One hundred and fifty eight
acres and Ninety three hundredths of an acre, According to the 
official Plat of the Survey of the said land, returned to the Gen
eral Land office by the Surveyor General, Now Know ye That 
there is therefore granted by the United States unto the said 
Samuel Kerr the tract of land above described, To have and to 
hold the said tract of land with the appurtenances thereof unto 
the said Samuel Kerr and to his heirs and assigns forever 
In testimony Whereof I Benjamin Harrison President of the 
United States of America have Caused these letters to be made 
Patent and the Seal of the General Land office to be hereunto affixed
