Homestead Certificate No 6515 } The United States of America, To all to whom
Application 12784 } these presents shall come Greeting, where as
There has been deposited in the General Land office of the United States a
Certificate of the Register of the Land office at Gainesville Florida whereby
it appears that pursuant to the act of Congress approved 20th May 1862
"To secure Homesteads to actual Settlers on the public Domain" and the
acts supplemental thereto the claim of George W. Martin has been establish
ed And duly Consumated in Conformity to law for the South half of lots
numbered three and four and the North half of the lots numbered five
and Six of Section twenty nine in Township Seven South of Range
Sixteen East of Tallahassee Meridian in Florida Containing one hund
red and fifty nine acres and Sixty two hundredths of an acre, according
to the official Plat of the Survey of the said land returned to the Gener
al Land office by the Surveyor General. Now Know ye That there is
therefore granted by the United States unto the said George W. Martin
the tract of land above described, To have and to hold the said tract
of land with the appurtenances thereof unto the said George W. Martin
and to his heirs and assigns forever. In testimony whereof I Benjamin
Harrison President of the United States of America have Caused these
letters to be made Patent and the seal of the General Land office to be here
unto affixed, Given under my hand at the City of Washington the
twenty ninth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight
hundred and Eighty nine, and of the Independence of the United States the
one hundred and thirteenth

This Indenture made the 28th day of November in the year of our
Lord one thousand Eight hundred and ninety, Between George W. Mar
tin and Elizabeth Martin his wife of the County of Alachua and State
of Florida of the first part and Christopher C. Robertson as Trustee
of Jacksonville Duval County Florida of the second part,
Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in Con
sideration of the sum of Four Thousand (4000) Dollars lawful mon
ey of the United States of America to them in hand paid by the
said party of the second part at or before the ensealing and
delivery of these presents he receipt whereof is hereby acknowled
ged have granted bargained sold aliened remised released Conveyed
