One Dollar & twenty five cents per acre to them in hand paid by Andrew
J. Palmer of the County of Alachua State of Florida have granted bargained 
and sold and do by these presents grant bargain sell and Convey unto 
the said Andrew J. Palmer and to his heirs and assigns forever the 
following described lands to wit, The West half of the South West 
quarter of Section Nine (9) in Township Nine (9) South of Range Sixteen 
(16) East, Containing Eighty & 59/100 Acres and lying and being in 
the County of Alachua in said State of Florida, To have and to hold 
unto the said Andrew J. Palmer and his heirs and assigns forever
In Testimony whereof the said Trustees have hereunto subscribed their 
names and affixed their seals and have Caused the seal of "The Depart
ment of Agriculture of the State of Florida" to be hereunto affixed at the 
Capitol in the City of Tallahassee on this the Twenty second day of December

Application  9143             } whom these presents shall Come Greeting
Whereas There has been deposited in the General Land office of the United 
States a Certificate of the Register of the Land office at Gainesville Florida 
whereby it appears that pursuant to the act of Congress approved 20" 
May 1862 "To secure Homesteads to actual Settlers on the Public Domain
and the Acts supplemental thereto the claim of Jerry Childs has 
been established and duly Consumated in Conformity to law for the 
South half of the North East quarter of Section Twenty eight in Town
ship Eight South of Range Seventeen East of Tallahassee Meridian 
in Florida Containing Eighty acres, according to the official plat 
of the Survey of the said Land returned to the General Land office 
by the Surveyor General, Now Know ye, That there is therefore granted 
by the United States unto the said Jerry Childs, the tract of land above
described: To have and to hold the said tract of land with the 
appurtenances thereof unto the said Jerry Childs and to his heirs 
and assigns forever In testimony whereof I Grover Cleveland Pres
ident of the United States of America have Caused these letters to 
be made Patent and the seal of the General Land office to be hereunto 
affixed, Given under my hand at the City of Washington the 
fourteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one Thousand 
Eight hundred and Eighty Eight and of the Independence of the 
United States the one hundred and thirteenth
