This Indenture made and entered into this the Tenth day of December in the
year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and Ninety, between The Florida
Town Improvement Company a body Corporate under the Laws of the State of Florida
party of the first part and Joseph S. McDonell, Frank G. Bauknight Wade
A. Geiger, Charles Kerr and J.F. McDonell Trustees of the Methodist Epis
Copal Church South located in the town of Archer County of Alachua and State
of Florida parties of the second part. Witnesseth: That the said party of
the first part for and in Consideration of the sum of Twenty Five Dollars
lawful money of the United States of America to it in hand paid by the said
parties of the second part at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted given aliened bargain
ed sold transferred Conveyed and Confirmed and does by these presents
Give, Grant, aliene bargain, sell transfer, remise, release Convey and Confirm
unto the said parties of the second part and to their successors and assigns
forever, all that Certain lot or parcel of land situate lying and being in
the town of Archer County of Alachua and State of Florida, and Known and
described on the official plat of said town as Lot numbered Seven (7) in
Block numbered Twenty Five (25) to Have and to hold the above granted
bargained and described premises together with all and singular the rights
and privileges immunities and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in
any wise appertaining unto the said parties of the second part and their suc
cessors and assigns as their absolute property in fee simple forever
In Trust that the said premises shall be used Kept maintained and disposed
of as a place of divine worship for the use of the Ministry and membership
of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, subject to the discipline usage and
Ministerial appointments of said Church as from time to time authorized and
declared by the General Conference of said Church and the Annual Conference with
in whose bounds the said premises are situate and the said The Florida Town
Improvement Company for itself and assigns and for all others claiming
by through or under it does covenant and agree that at the time of the
Execution and delivery of these presents the said Company is seized of a
good and indefeasible fee simple to the above premises and has good
right to Convey the same as it has Conveyed the same free and discharged
from all encumbrances and liens of any and every nature and description
and that the Same are free and discharged from all encumbrances and
liens of and every nature and description, and that the said parties of
the second part their successors and assigns shall quietly and peaceably
and may at all times hereafter have use occupy possess and enjoy
the above described premises against all persons whatsoever lawfully
Claiming the same: and that it will at any and at all times made
such further covenants Conveyances and assurances, at the expense
of the said parties of the second part as they the said parties of the
