Land Office of the United States a Certificate of the Register of the 
Land office at Gainesville Florida whereby it appears that Pursuant to 
the Act of Congress approved 20th May 1862 "To secure Homesteads to 
Actual Settlers on the Public Domain" and the Acts supplemental there
to the claim of Claude W. Colson has been established And duly Con
sumated in Conformity to law, for the East half of the South West quarter 
of Section Twenty five in Township Nine South of Range Fourteen 
East of Tallahassee Meridian in Florida Containing Seventy nine
acres and ninety three hundredths of an acre according to the Official 
Plat of the survey of the said Land, returned to the General Land office 
by the Surveyor General Now Know ye That there is therefore gran
ted by the United States unto the said Claude W. Colson the tract 
of land above described, To have and to hold the said tract of Land 
with the appurtenances thereof unto the said Claude W. Colson and 
to his heirs and assigns forever, In testimony Whereof I Benjamin 
Harrison President of the United States of America have Caused these 
letters to be made Patent and the seal of the General Land Office 
to be hereunto affixed, Given under my hand at the City of Wash
ington the Eleventh day of December in the Year of our Lord one 
Thousand Eight hundred and ninety and of the Independence 
of the United States the one hundred and fifteenth

This Indenture made the 8th day of January in the Year of our
Lord One thousand Eight hundred and ninety one, Between C.W.
Colson and C.I. Colson his wife of the County of Alachua and
State of Florida parties of the first part and John H. Sanders of
the County of Alachua and State of Florida party of the Second
part, Witnesseth, that the said parties of the first part for and
in Consideration of the sum of Four Hundred Dollars lawful
money of the United States of America to them in hand paid by
the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing and
delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowl
edged have granted bargained sold Conveyed and Confirmed
and by these presents do deed grant bargain sell Convey and
Confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs
and assigns forever all the following piece parcel lot or tract
of land situate lying and being in the County of Alachua
