This Indenture made and entered into this Second day of October
in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and ninety by
and between Samuel H. Webb Merchant of the City of DeLand County
of Volusia and State of Florida party of the first part and Silas B.
Wright of the City County and State aforesaid party of the second part
Witnesseth, Whereas the said party of the first part is indebted
to divers persons in divers sums of Money which by reason of Sundry
losses and misfortunes he has become unable to fully pay and
is desirous of providing for the payment thereof, by an Assignment of
all his property and effects, not exempt by law for that purpose
Now this indenture Witnesseth that the said party of the first part
in Consideration of the premises and of the sum of One Dollar
lawful money of the United States of America to him in hand paid
by the said party of the second part at or before the ensealing and
delivery of these presents the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged
hath granted bargained sold assigned transferred and set over
and by these presents doth grant bargain sell Assign transfer
set over deliver and Convey unto the said party of the second part
all the goods Chattels estates property and effects real personal
or mixed of every Kind and description and wheresoever being
and situate of the said party of the first part, except such as
is exempted by law from forced sale, consisting of all that Stock
of goods wares and merchandise of every nature and description now
in the Store of the said party of the first part situate in what is Known
as Havens Block on Woodland Boulevard, between New York and Indiana
Avenues, in the City of DeLand in the said County and State, together
with all show cases, furniture, fixtures and appliances thereunto belong
ing or appertaining, and also one Iron Safe now in said Store,
Also all that certain lot or parcel of land in the City of DeLand in
said County and State, Conveyed by Elizabeth A. Smart to the said
party of the first part by deed dated April 28" 1887 and recorded
in book No 4 on page 181 of the records of Volusia County Florida the
said lot being therein described as follows to wit, Eight Acres in the
West part of the North half of the South West Quarter of the North
West quarter of Section Ten, Township Seventeen South of Range Thirty
East of the Meridian of Tallahassee, Florida, the land hereby Convey
ed being bounded and described as follows, beginning on the di
viding lines of Sections Nine and Ten of said Township Seventeen at a
point midway between the South West and North West Corner of the
North West quarter of said Section Ten, Thence running South ten
Chains, Thence East Eight Chains, Thence North ten chains, Thence
West Eight Chains to place of beginning, Saving and excepting
