Know all men by these presents That the Florida Land and Mortgage
Company (Limited) a Corporation organized under the Laws of Great Britain
in Consideration of the Sum of One Hundred and Forty five and 85/100
Dollars the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged has granted bar
gained sold and Conveyed and does by these presents grant bargain
sell and Convey unto William W. Townsend of the County of Alachua
State of Florida and his heirs and assigns forever the following descri
ed lands to wit, The Lots Numbered Three and Four of Section Four
in Township Eight South Range Fourteen East Containing according to
the United States Surveys One Hundred and Sixteen and 68/100 acres
and lying and being in the County of Alachua State of Florida, To have
and to hold the said lands unto the said William W. Townsend and
his heirs and assigns forever, and the Said the Florida Land and Mort
gage Company (Limited) or itself and its successors does hereby Covenant
promise and agree with the said William W. Townsend his heirs and as-
signs that it has good right full power and lawful authority to grant
bargain sell and Convey the above granted and described premises in
Manner aforesaid: and that it has not made, done, Committed executed
or suffered any act or acts thing or things whereby the above mentioned
or described premises now are or at any time hereafter Shall or may
be impeached Charged or encumbered in any manner or way whatsoever
In witness whereof Charles Duane Willard attorney in fact of the Florida
Land and Mortgage Company (Limited) in pursuance of a power of attorney
bearing date the twenty second day of December AD 1884 hath hereunto
set the hand and affixed the seal of said Company on this the 23rd
day of June Eighteen Hundred and Eighty Six
