Court Alachua County }	 Mar 4th 1861
	At a meeting of the Board of County 
Commissioners. Present C. Rain Mathew Hinson, 
Wm Strickland and E.H. Jordan 
President of the Board
1st  Ordered that as D.A. Frier Tax Assessor 
and Collector has Reported the following 
persons as having assessed their Tax too 
low Viz, J.M. Geiger on Lands, Negroes 
House Furniture &c, J.M. Miller on 
Negroes, Robert Archer on lands and 
J.T. McIntosh on Negroes, that he 
now take the Oath and his 
Books be received ---
2nd Ordered that execution vs Joseph A. 
Scott be placed in the hands of Andrew 
Robb for Collection  That T.O. Turners 
Receipt be given to A. Robb ---
3rd Ordered that the Twelve dollars in Money 
as collected for Road fines be put into 
the hands of the County Treasurer
4th Ordered that John Cameron be discharged 
as Road Commissioner on the road from 
Gainesville to the County line between 
Alachua & Putnam Counties and that 
Isham Jackson be appointed in his 
place
5th Ordered that John E. Thompson be 
discharged as Road Commissioner on the Road 
from Gainesville to the Mud Mills on the 
Santifee and that Thomas J. May be 
appointed in his place ---
