Alachua County		  }  June 10th 1861
 At a meeting of the board of County 
Commissioners Present J.M. Sparkman 
C. Rain, Mathew Hinson & E.H Jordan 
President of the board
1st   Ordered that A.W. Cook former 
Tax Assessor and Collector for the County 
for the years 1858  & 59 be required to meet 
the board of County Commissioners at 
their next meeting the first Monday 
in July 1861 to settle the balance due 
the County for taxes due for those years 
1858 & 9 and ordered further that 
unless said Cook does meet said board 
of County Commissioners and make a 
satisfactory Arrangement to settle said 
balance due that then and in that 
case legal steps will be taken to col
lect the same
2nd   Ordered that D.W. Frier Tax 
Assessor be required to meet the 
board of County Commissioners 
at their next meeting on the 
first Monday in July 1861
