appeared James Graham and Frances M. Graham his wife to me Known to
be the person described in and who executed the foregoing instrument, and
severally acknowledged the execution thereof to be their free act and deed
for the uses and purposes therein mentioned And the said Frances M.
Graham the wife of the said James Graham on an examination taken
and made separately and apart from her said husband acknowledged
that she made herself a party to the said deed for the purpose of
conveying her own separate estate and all interest in and to the lands
tenements and hereditaments therein described and thereby granted and
released and that she executed said deed freely and voluntarily and
without any compulsion constraint apprehension or fear of or from
her said husband. ( )

To all to whom these presents Shall Come Greeting:
Homestead Certificate No 13802 }
Application 22965 } Whereas there has been deposited in the General
Land Office of the United States a Certificate of the Register of the Land Office
at Gainesville Florida, whereby it appears that pursuant to the Act of Congress
approved 20th May 1862 "To Secure Homesteads to actual Settlers on the
Public Domain" and the acts supplemental thereto, the Claim of
John J. Palmer has been established and duly consumated in conformity to law for
the North East quarter of Section Nine in Township nine South of Range Sixteen
East of Tallahassee Meridian in Florida Containing one hundred and
Sixty one acres and twenty hundredths of an acre, according to the Official
Plat of the Survey of the said Land returned to the General Land Office of the
Surveyor General: Now Know Ye, That there is therefore granted by the United States
unto the Said John J. Palmer the tract of land above described. To Have and
To Hold the said tract of Land with the appurtenances thereof unto the
said John J. Palmer and to their heirs and assigns forever.
In Testimony Whereof I William McKinley President of the United States of
America have caused these letters to be made Patent and the Seal of the
General Land Office to be hereunto affixed.
Given under my hand at the City of Washington the fourth day of October
in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Ninety eight and of
the Independence of the United States the one hundred and twenty third
