This Indenture made the Fourteenth day of November 
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and 
twenty eight - Between Noah Scovell of the City and County 
and state of New York and Ann Scovell of Essex 
in the County of Middlesix and State of Connecticut 
of the second part Witnesseth that the said party of 
the first part for and in consideration of the sum 
of Five thousand Dollars lawful money of the United 
States to him in hand paid at or before the sealing and 
delivery of these presents by the party of the second part 
the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and the said 
party of the first part therewith fully satisfied contented 
and paid hath remised released and quit-claimed 
and by these presents doth remise, release and quit 
claim unto the said party of the second part and to 
her heirs and assigns forever all that certain tract 
or parcil of land in the Teritory Florida here
tofore commonly called East Florida bounded as 
follows viz   Begining on the west side of big Creek a 
branch of the Amamna River(amanna of Mellesh) where 
the North West boundary of a tract of Five thousand 
acres of land off for Richard J. Hackley own settlement 
intersects the sid big Creek thence running 
west (158) one hundred and fifty eight Chains 
thence south six hundred and thirty two (632) 
chains ninety two links (92) to the beginning Thence 
East one hundred & fifty eight Chains (158) Thence 
North six hundred and thirty two chains (632) 
ninety two links (92) to the begining containing an 
an area of Ten Thousand acres subject however 
to contain hereafter to actual survey for the 
quantity  __          Together with all and singular 
the hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto
